Satu, a dedicated stay-at-home mom, experienced her first pregnancy at 21, which ended in a heartbreaking miscarriage. Following this, a Swedish news outlet reported that Satu suffered from uterine scarring, complicating her ability to conceive again. Stress further halted her ovulation, leading her to fear she might never fulfill her dream of motherhood. However, two years later, against all odds, Satu became pregnant and, together with her husband Andres, welcomed their daughter Nicole in 2008.
Satu expressed her deep love for her family, emphasizing that her children are her world. She had always envisioned a large family, and over 13 years, she worked tirelessly to make this dream a reality.
Satu and Andres, a construction worker, are now proud parents of ten children: Nicole (13), Vanessa (12), twins Jonathan and Danilo (11), Olivia (8), Kevin (7), Celina (6), Isabelle (3), Melania (1.5), and the newest addition, Benjamin, born seven months ago.
Managing a household of ten children is immensely challenging. Satu describes her daily routine: waking up at 6:30 am, preparing breakfast, dressing the children for school, and managing household chores including laundry, cleaning, and cooking. After school, she assists with homework, supervises playtime, and ensures everyone is fed, bathed, and tucked into bed. Despite her exhaustive schedule, she finds fulfillment in her children’s happiness and love.
Satu’s day concludes with some personal time after the children sleep, often staying up until midnight or later, especially since baby Melania requires nighttime care. Despite the overwhelming fatigue, Satu finds joy and purpose in her role as a mother to many, driven by her children’s smiles and affection.
